Writing for much need inspiration

Every now and then you find yourself in need of inspiration, something to push you to finish the job. Books I feel are one of the best ways to source inspiration from. While we all surf the internet to read stories, watch video and look at pictures for idea, books offers something very different. You can read things in detail and understand the whole story.

At the present I am reading these two books for much needed inspiration. The first one is 'Zero to One' a book by Blake Masters and Peter Thiel sharing their notes about their startup and ventures. Sharing their stories and their learnings. The second one is called 'Cabin Porn' by Steven Leckart and Zach Klein a hybrid formate between a photobook and personal story book. It is based on the blog run by Zach Klein sharing cabin pictures from around world.

Both books though are poles apart on topics and format but a must read for the creative heads and those working in the design industry.

Timeless Originality & Simplicity

Achieving sophisticated simplicity is easier said than done. We, as Pakistanis, have always had this fear of going simple without losing the essence of who, what or where we are from, especially when you come from a land so rich in its culture, traditions and colour. It is an art to find that balance. I think more than anything it is the part of creating something that you truly believe in. The Story Of An Owl

Back in 2011, when I was in the process of launching my business, I was trying to build a brand identity and like any startup it was very confusing to make the logo and color scheme of the company. Since initially the focus was on designing products and processes, we didn't give too much attention to the brand and just started working as a brand under my name. Later in the year when we built some customer base and decided to register the company, we decided to build a proper branding strategy.

Studio: Behind The Scenes

Our studio is the place where all the magic happens. It serves as both our office and retail space where customers can drop by to place their orders to make purchases. It’s a space where all our creative juices start to flow, teams come together to create thoughtful and functional leather products for our customer. These are some glimpses from our studio.
